Conversation and information
NimnyBot is being developed for interruptible conversation, information research, reminders, organizing ideas, approved digital tasks and routines, and interaction that carries the right family and task context.
Capabilities
NimnyBot connects conversation with movement, visible expression, perception, learning, home context, and owner control — so help can be present in the room, not only behind a speaker.
NimnyBot is being developed for interruptible conversation, information research, reminders, organizing ideas, approved digital tasks and routines, and interaction that carries the right family and task context.
Indoor mapping, localization, obstacle avoidance, named rooms, and owner-controlled movement are intended to let NimnyBot bring its interface to the place where it is useful.
A visible face, bounded head movement, and two expressive arms communicate listening, thinking, speaking, direction, and status. The current prototype direction uses the arms for gesture and embodiment, not general-purpose household manipulation.
NimnyBot is being developed as the physical and conversational tutor inside Nimny Learning. It can ask, explain, scaffold, guide activities, and support stories while the child Learning Web and parent Mobile Companion stay connected to the same learning experience. One home NimnyBot can support multiple learner profiles with separate learning paths and progress.
Multimodal perception supports navigation, selected object recognition, and bounded visual questions. Camera and microphone states are designed to remain visible and controlled by the owner.
NimnyBot is intended to report its state, support owner-initiated home check-ins, and deliver important notifications without implying unrestricted surveillance, medical judgment, or autonomous security authority.
The NimnyBot Mobile Companion is being developed as the owner and guardian control surface for Live communication, robot status, named-room requests, tasks, routines, family controls, learning summaries, notifications, and robot care. Connected access remains separately authorized and owner-controlled.
Battery and system health, faults, diagnostics, software identity, controlled updates, and recovery are being designed as part of the product experience rather than hidden maintenance tools.
Capabilities in context
Visible expression, movement, and shared context bring interaction beyond a voice-only assistant.

Physical assistance
NimnyBot combines expressive gestures with carefully engineered physical assistance. As perception, control, and safety capabilities are validated, the range of useful everyday physical interactions will continue to expand.
